Parents - I have been challenging you child to attempt long division! This is a concept they will learn in 4th grade. I just think most of them are ready for it now! In order to help you child at home, you can use this acronym to help them: "Dead Mice Smell Bad, Really" (DMSBR) What it stands for is: Divide, Multiply, Subtract, Bring down, Redo/Remainder. Everyone in the class has shown me that they can do it, yet some need a little help after the "Bring down" step. I hope this helps a little with homework! Have a beautiful day!

See you at the Valentine's Day Party on Friday, February 10th. 2:45-3:15 Thanks to Myra Wentworth (Henry's mother) for coordinating the party and to Amy Burkam (Jacquelyn's mother), Cathy Buehrer (Daniel's mother), Colette Mileti (Michael's mother), Bettina Jevtitch (Soleil's mother), Erin Buzash (Blaize's mother), and Debbie Wenner (Steven's mother) as well for helping out as well. Hope to see everyone!
Study Island: I noticed that even though a child finishes a lesson, it will still say "Incomplete". The program is set up to do that if your child does not get an 82% or better on the section. Please encourage your child to read the "Explanation" when they miss a problem and then to retake that lesson to bring the grade up. I have demonstrated how to do that with the students here at school, but they might need a little more guidance at home. Let me know if you have any problems.
